Bruno Correia Audi A4 B6 8E Regula Tuning Body kit front RS diamond mesh with the audi badge

The RS diamond mesh is provided with the regula tuning body kit as an optional extra.

The mesh is pressed from a plastic sheet and is only usable on one side (the other side is hollow)

If you are keeping both front and rear crash bars the the mesh cut out must be exact as it's a very tight fit. If the crash bars are not used this is not as important.

The mesh install process can take some time and will involve installing and re-installing to ensure the correct fit. Never attempt the mesh install for the first time on a painted bumper bar, do this work during the dry fit.

You will notice that the regula kit includes mounting point for the mesh which makes things must easier. These mount points can be seen in the picture to the right.

We recommend that you start with the front mesh that will hold the audi badge as shown in the picture above.

The badge used is the original badge removed from the factory grille. The tabs on the badge neatly fit into the RS mesh without modification.

The badge is held in place using fishing line and some strategically placed silicone.

The picture to the left shows how the mesh is hollow on the back. This helps when attaching the mesh to the mesh mount points on the bumper bar.

It's best to use stainless steel screws through the valley of the mesh straight into the mount points.

The picture also shows the screws in the mount points. This will be repeated for each mount point available.

When installing the mesh make sure that each panel is level. This can be tricky so once complete, evaluate all the mesh together and adjust if required.

The completed mesh install on the front bumper bar is shown in the picture to the right.

Completed rear mesh install.

In this install we decided to have a concealed exhaust so no hole was required to be cut out of the mesh however this does mean that the exhaust tip had to be removed. This can be seen below

To stop exhaust fumes and condensation spraying to the rear bumper bar a custom dump pipe was created to direct everything to the ground.

This can be seen below

The dump pipe was made of stainless steel so to stop it from being visible from behind the mesh it was painted matt black prior to install.
